V. Please Solve this exercise using the blank paper provided to you with this application: A company based in Mohandessin, Cairo bought in the year 2000 @ EGP 80,000, units of contact lenses @ EGP 6.00 per unit. § 40 % of the amount was paid cash against documents and the balance was paid in deferred A/Cs payable due 90 days from Airway bill. § The company hired a new sales manager and sales have grown since by 20 % over 1999 in units and in EGP. § Note that sales in 1999 were off 3000 units of contact lenses @ a total of EGP 300,000 then. Unit price in 2000 remained the same. Although the company invested in a good training program to enhance Sales capabilities in year 2000. The Cost of this program was of EGP 25,000. § As well as its total Salaries and Expenses paid monthly in year 2000 were off EGP 11,000 and a monthly rent of EGP 2,000 and other utilities were of EGP 500 per month. § In 1999 & 2000, the Company has also incurred 20 % in shipping & customs costs on top of the EGP 6.00 unit price. § Part of the Finance of the operation was extended by a gulf based Businessman at a monthly fee of EGP 1,000 on the Capital he invested. P.S.: Note that in 2000 the company hired a consultant to advice on monthly strategy in Egypt for a total annual fee of EGP 60,000. And be advised that the monthly Depreciation were similar to 1999 or EGP 3,000 / month. Please draw the Income Statement of the year ending Dec. 31st, 2000.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم انا عضو جديد معاكم فى المنتدى الجميل ده انا بحضر دراسات عليا فى المحاسبة وعلينا مادة احصاء ورياضه والمسألة ديه هيه سهلة بس فيها حاجه مش عارف احلها الجدول التالى يمثل الاجور الشهرية لمجموعة من العاملين باحدى الشركات فئات الجدول 80- 90- 100- 110- 120- 130- 140-150 عدد العاملين 10 12 18 13 12 8 5 والمطلوب: 1- تكوين الجدول التكرارى المتجمع لصاعد 2- ايجاد نسبة العاملين الذين تقل اجورهم عن 105 جنيه 3- ايجاد نسبة العاملين الذين تتراوح اجورهم مابين 95-125 جنيه 4- تكوين الجدول التكرارى المتجمع الهابط 5- رسم المنحنى المتجمع الهابط ومنه اوجد عدد العاملين الذين يحصلون على اجر يساوى او يزيد عن 125 جنيه انا طبعا بعرف اعمل الجداول التكرارية بس مش عارف اجيب بقى نسبة العاملين اللى اقل من او ازيد من عدد معين غير من الرسم وطبعا فى الامتحان مش عاوزنه نرسم ارجو المساعده ارجوكم

From past experience, Glenn estimates that a bid of $5 million will have a 0.2 probability of being the highest bid and securing the property for Oceanview. The current date Is June 1, Sealed bids for the property must be submitted by August 15. The winning bid will be announced on September 1. If Oceanview submits the highest bid and obtains the property, the firm plans to build and sell a complex of luxury oondomlniums. However, a complicating factor is that the property is currently Zoned for single-family residences only. Glenn believes that a referendum could be placed on the voting ballot In time for the November election. Passage of the referendum would change the zoning of the property and permit construction of the condominiums, The sealed-bid procedure requires the bid to be submitted with a certified check for 10% of the amount bid. If the bid Is rejected, the deposit Is refunded, If the bid Is accepted, the deposit is the down payment for the property. However, if the bid is accepted and the bidder does not follow through with the purchase and meet the reminder of the financial obligation within 6 months, the deposit will be forfeited, In this case, the county will offer the property to next highest bidder. To determine whether Oceanvjew should submit the $5 million bid, Glenn has done some preliminary analysis. This preliminary work provided an estimate of 0.3 for the probability that the referendum for a zoning change will be approved and resulted in the following estimates of the costs and revenue that will be incurred If the condominiums are built. Cost and Revenue Estimates Revenue from condominium sales cost $ 15,000,000 Property $ 5,000,000 Construction expenses $ 8,000,000 If Ocean view obtains the property and the zoning change is not approved In November, Glenn believes that the best option would be for the firm not to complete the purchase of the property.
